11 animals passed away at Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary with no medical care, according to an April 2021 United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) inspection report. Some of these animals passed without any mention to the public of their passing. Several of the cats’ photos were used after their death to continue drawing publicity and donations.
These wildcats loved and trusted the people who cared for them and Tiger Creek has betrayed that trust. They paid the ultimate price so that staff could pretend to be doctors. The animals sacrificed their lives so that Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary could save a few bucks on veterinary care. The least we can do is honor their lives and share their story, so that one day the animals at roadside zoos may be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.
